A little Jet Lagged...

What a day. I’m laughing at myself so hard right now. Here are the events of the day as they unfolded. I didn’t sleep last nite. Maybe an hour or two on the plane between Bogota and Lima, but other than that, no sleeping for me. I arrived in Tacna at 6:30 and wasn’t picked up. I set myself up a little station by the payphone with my computer and phone both plugged into the wall sitting on one of my suitcases on the floor. If people don’t already stare at me enough, right? lol I finally decided to get a hotel in town. It was such a beautiful day that even as tired as I was, I just showered and walked around. Its quite the cute little city. I grabbed my book and found a place to eat something and have a few beers. After a few hours of being out, I got back to the quaint little hostel room that I got for $11/night and went to sleep. I woke up at 7:30, kinda groaned and thought, well, the school opens at 8, so I should get up. I did, packed up my stuff, put it into the storage area where the lady said I could keep it past check out and walked to the school. I thought it was odd that the sun wasn’t up yet, but shrugged it off. No one was at the school, so I went to the internet café that’s between the hostel and the school and sent Christian a message wondering why no one was there. lol (can you say jet-lagged?) I told him that I’d wait at the hostel for him to find me. So I sat in the lobby for 2 hours reading and waiting wondering why it was so cold and why wasn’t the sun out? I went back to the internet café and when I sat down, I realized it was 10 PM!!!! Not a.m. I’m still shaking my head at myself… and laughing. I was wondering why the lady was leaving and this other dude was taking over for her at the front desk. I finally pieced it together. I told the guy I thought it was morning not night and he just laughed at me. Not mocking me, but laughing with me.
Argh. lol
So I’m going to watch a movie and go back to sleep.
