So, I have 3 days left here in Canada... oh yes, I'm sure I'll be back at some point, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I've been here for years. It's time to see how the rest of the world lives.
This is the first entry you all will see, but expect more as the weeks go by. Internet access won't be as readily available as it is here, but I'll do my best.
One of you (and you know who you are...) decided I needed to do this blog thing, so here it is. After I started getting it going, I realized that this is actually way more efficient than emailing you all. (That's right, I'm not American, I said you all.)
I'm almost all packed, gotta drop the car off at ICBC... OH! let me fill you in on that dandy of a story in case you haven't heard. I've been trying to sell my car for months. But who wants a piece of crap Saturn with no power steering, even if it IS good on gas? So I was on the way to work a couple of weeks ago, and as I was waiting to merge onto No. 6 Rd, the guy behind me decided to go and smashed in my left bumper. I took it in to ICBC to have it assessed and they told me it was a total loss cuz the left side of the frame was bent in. Fortunately, it is still drivable and they told me to bring it by when I had the chance and they'd have a check waiting for me. I thought it was a vary fortuitous set of events. I have the car as long as I need it and I'm getting cash for it. Plus and extra couple grand for 'pain and suffering'. Perfect timing.
So I just have some last minute packing, some people to see, and I'm off.
I finished my TEFL course this morning (after I had to redo my lesson plan because it was too complicated for the level I was writing it for). My cell phone is on a 4 month suspension (that's all they could give) with the exception of text messaging. So if there's no internet access, you avid texters can reach me that way.
I guess that's all for now...
